Trojans put 7 in Olympic Water Polo Tryouts

USC water polo olympicsWater polo is a sport that USC has been stellar out in recent years, and the number of Trojans attempting to make the Men’s and Women’s Olympic Water Polo teams for the Beijing games is a testament to that. 6 USC Women’s Water Polo athletes and one male Trojan are among the distinguished final few working hard to make the rosters for this summer’s Olympics. Read on to find out which men and women of Troy are in the running for this prestigious honor.

USC Men’s Golf Nabs More All-Americans

usc mens golfUSC picked up three more All-Americans for their outstanding 2008 Men’s Golf team. Star freshmen Tim Sluiter and Matthew Giles as well as junior Tom Glissmeyer were all listed as Honorable Mention on the PING All-America selections. These newest selections bring USC’s total of All-Americans to five for this years Men’s Golf team. The three join First-Team All-America selections Rory Hie and Jamie Lovemark. In the highly prestigious history of the USC Men’s Golf team, no other Trojans golf team has ever had five All-America selections in a single year. Congratulations to the USC Men’s Golf team and the new selections. A big Fight On! to all of these men and their dedication and contributions to the USC Trojans athletics program.

Trojans off to Championships

usc track and fieldThe NCAA Track and Field Championships are coming up from June 11th-14th in Iowa, and the Trojans will be well represented at the event. 21 athletes from the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field teams will be competing for the chance to bring home more national titles to Los Angeles. Eight men and thirteen women will be competing for the Cardinal and Gold. Let’s wish our men and women of Troy the best of luck as they work hard to bring back some hardware with them after their trip to the midwest. The USC Track and Field teams are making us proud!
